New technology can be confusing. Thankfully, setting up your Playbook profile is a simple, straightforward process. We know, talking about yourself can be difficult (and awkward!), but it’s important to include helpful info about who you are and what you do. This gives your subscribers some insight into your world and keeps them coming back for more.
Your profile is split into 4 easy-to-read sections:
Account
Discovery
About Me
Media
Filling out 100% of each section will help your subscribers understand who you are and how you can help them reach their goals.
Tab 1: Account
First and last name
Instagram handle
Tab 2: Discovery
Select 7 keywords that describe your channel from our list
Don’t forget this step! It’s an easy way for new users to find your workouts.

BONUS: Don’t know how to write about yourself? Check out our example below for inspiration & customize with your details.
Hi! I’m [insert name here] and I’m so excited you’re here to workout with me! I struggled with my weight for over 10 years until I decided to take my health into my own hands. I jumped into fitness, finding achievable, sustainable ways to lose weight (and keep it off) while feeling great! Once I experienced this change in my own life, everyone asked how I did it — I knew I needed to help others get there.
For the last 5 years, I’ve been helping people like me crush their fitness goals. Every day, we’re logging in and getting the job DONE.
I’m not just here to show you workouts, I’m here to motivate you to run faster, jump higher, and strive for more than you did yesterday. With my training plans you can expect to lose fat, gain muscle, and increase your cardio endurance. We’re in this together!
My workouts can be done anywhere, any time. If you want to level up, get some light dumbbells and ankle weights. Can’t wait to train with you!
Section 4: Media
The media section of your profile helps subscribers learn what they’ll get from your training with visual features.
Intro video:
Welcome all new subscribers with a short (60-90 secs) video, shot in portrait mode, to say “hello!”
Keys to a great intro:
Be welcoming and energetic!
Introduce yourself and share your accomplishments
Explain your training style (what makes you/your channel unique)
Let them know what you’ll help with (weight loss, strength training, etc.)
Remind them to interact with you on the app
Tell them to share their progress
After finishing your profile, readers should understand who you are, your training style, the problems you’ll help them overcome, and how to communicate with you.
