I'm Erik, and this is my story

I'm Erik, and this is my story

I am a working healthcare professional and personal trainer, however, my clients will tell you that I’m so much more. As a person who experiences chronic pain, I am passionate about keeping people healthy and helping them to improve their quality of life.

To feel limited in any way is understandably difficult to handle. I have had 4 knee surgeries from a basketball injury, and experienced undiagnosed facial paralysis for 6 months (now known as Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, like Justin Bieber). When I was told that I would never be able to smile, play sports, or run again, I knew I had two choices: let it overwhelm and shrink me until I was nothing, or to find a sustainable path forward. I chose forward and healing.

I became a vegan and started eating an anti-inflammatory diet 7 years ago. I did this to help reduce inflammation and pain in my body. This decision has changed my life, and now I workout and run every single day. I’m not here to promote being vegan — simply to be mindful of what you put in your body and work to understand if the food you are eating is fueling you or hurting you.

I am passionate about ensuring my clients do not feel alone on their journey, and that they always have a support system. My motto through everything is consistency and support.
