However, sometimes I find myself bored with the usual red leaf lettuce and spinach base I tend to gravitate toward. Whenever I find myself in a food rut, it’s time to switch things up! While greens are the go-to base for a salad, lettuce-free salads are a healthy and tasty way to pack nutrients into your mid-day meals — especially if you’re not a fan of leafy greens to begin with.
