Do you struggle with consuming your daily requirement of veggies? Instead of composting yet another wilted bag of spring mix, there’s a better way to get your fix of leafy greens. A balanced diet is an important part of your overall wellness, and juicing is a great way to get your daily dose of greens — especially if you’re not a fan of veggies! Adding a green juice recipe or two to your weekly meals can help you stay on track with your wellness goals.
The CDC recommends most adults eat two to three cups of vegetables daily. If you can’t stomach salads, or turn your nose up at steamed broccoli, try drinking your veggies instead to reap the major health benefits:
Juicing increases the concentration of micronutrients (aka vitamins and minerals) you consume — since many are lost when fruits or veggies are cooked — while making them easier for your body to absorb.
Keep in mind, however, that fiber is lost during the process of juicing fruits and vegetables, so you’ll want to make up for that lack of fiber elsewhere in your diet (we recommend these fiber-filled breakfasts!).

½ of a lemon (rind removed)
½ an inch of fresh ginger
½ c. coconut water
Handful of fresh spinach
½ green apple
½ orange (rind removed)
A couple ice cubes
A splash of maple syrup (roughly 1 tbsp)

Brynley Joyner’s Morning Greens Juice Recipe
While not a “green” juice, this drink helps fight inflammation in the body, due to the powerful combination of ginger and turmeric. It’s a great recipe to add to your routine — try drinking it first thing in the morning!
